Nathan’s father recently passed away and left a decent amount of money as an inheritance. He’s always wanted to open his own “All American Pub”, burgers, beers, just a feel-good family place. Today and this weekend is the first day of the NCAA Tournament for the men and women. After last year’s tournament’s got cancelled because of the pandemic fans were itching to fill out their brackets and watch some hoops this year.
Here in Connecticut we have a great history of basketball success in these tourney’s. UCONN is the only school in the country who has had their men’s and women’s teams win the national championship in the same year. And get this… they’ve done it TWICE! Both Huskies teams were champs in 2004 and 2014.
This year the UCONN women are the 1 seed and play Sunday at 8pm. The men are the 7 seed play Saturday night at 7pm.
The other fun Connecticut storyline to this year’s Men’s tournament is that the University of Hartford Hawks made it in for first time ever! As of the writing of this post they are the 16 seed and playing at 3:30pm today (Friday) against the heavy favorite Baylor who is the 1 seed. Good luck to all the Connecticut teams this year!

I’ve been on a honey kick lately. In my tea, on peanut butter toasty, overnight oats. So much honey! But I was wondering does it ever spoil or go bad?
The answer is no, honey does not spoil. You could actually eat 3,000 year old honey if you had some. It’s the perfect long term food, so stock up. Thanks bees!
