MUNDANE MYSTERIES: Why do dogs like squeaky toys so much?

If you have a dog you know exactly what I’m talking about. That one squeaky toy he or she just loves to go crazy on. But why do they love them so much?

The reason behind it is because dogs are descendants of wolves whose instincts naturally include hunting smaller animals. The sound that squeaky toy you give them makes is very similar to the sound a small animal makes when being hunted. So it’s all part of their heredity.

TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD: Two Rival Schools Raise Over $34,000 For Restaurant Workers In The Most Hilarious Way Ever

We’ve seen these tip challenge a lot lately. Where someone will leave a gigantic tip to pay it forward to the servers, bar tenders, and local restaurants who have been struggling since the pandemic began. But we’ve never seen anything like this!

Two rival colleges in Ohio, Xavier and University of Cincinnati got into a “tip-off” with each other. It all started when some of the students from one school left a $1,000 tip at a restaurant in the area. Xavier students caught wind of it and decided to one up them with a tip of $1,001. Hilarious. It sort of snow balled from there and is now up over $34,000 that has been raised for restaurant workers. Unbelievable.

This is the perfect chance for us to say, thank you!

MUNDANE MYSTERIES: Why do brown eggs cost more than white eggs?

You may have noticed this while grocery shopping. The brown shelled eggs always more than the white. I always thought it was because of their nutrients, quality, being “organic” or something like that. But nope. It’s none of those things come to find out.

Brown eggs actually cost more because the hens that lay them are larger and need to be feed more. This ends up costing more to raise them. That cost in turn is what you’re paying for in the store. Interesting!
