MUNDANE MYSTERIES: Why is it called a muscle?

MUNDANE MYSTERIES: Why is it called a muscle?

If you’re doing “arm day” for your workout you might be wondering how the word “muscle” came about?

According to Merriam-Webster… when you bend your arm to flex your bicep that does it look like? According to the ancient Romans they thought it resembled a tiny rodent like shape. Which is why they named it “muscle” a word that comes from the Latin term musculus, which means “tiny mouse”.

Hilarious!

Do you still have a side part?  All these youths on Tiktok are getting in Anna’s head, saying that the side part means you’re old! Anna decided to experiment with a middle part but it…didn’t exactly go as planned.

Have you noticed that everybody seems to be selling something these days?  Anna has noticed that everybody seems to be pushing a side hustle, whether it’s in her personal life or on social media, and she thinks she knows why!  (2:51)

It’s not easy to come up with funny stuff all the time, but you’re a professional TV writer and you’re still making jokes about THIS, that’s all I need to know about you!  (4:48)

Have you ever wondered which celebrities were nice and which were…less so?  A waitress on Tiktok has spilled all the tea on which celebrities are actually nice people, and Anna and Raven are here for it!  Get the whole story in the podcast.  (8:17)

When did you know your relationship was over?  A caller had a CRAZY story about something her ex-boyfriend did, and it made Anna and Raven reflect on when they knew it was over with their exes.  You won’t believe what happened between Raven and his ex-girlfriend’s Grandma!  (15:56)

Would this bother you?  It was a perfect evening.  Just Anna, her husband and some friends out to dinner.  Anna even dressed up for it!  And she was enjoying her evening until she noticed THIS!  (26:42)

Kelly and Freddy have been dating for a couple of years. Her family is Irish, and her father has never been nice to him. He’s made it obvious over the last two years that he doesn’t like him because he didn’t go to college. The father has planned a St.Patrick’s Day outing at their local bar, he rented out an entire private Covid safe room for family and friends. She says he needs to go, he says no way, it’ll just be awkward, plus he probably doesn’t want him there anyway. Whose side are you on?  (33:27)

The winning streak continues, and the jackpot is now $1500!  Does Melissa have what it takes to beat Raven in pop culture trivia, or will the jackpot continue to rise?  (40:41)

MUNDANE MYSTERIES: How many peanuts does it take to make a jar of peanut butter?

MUNDANE MYSTERIES: How many peanuts does it take to make a jar of peanut butter?

It’s a lot!

I discovered that it takes approximately 540 peanuts to make one 12-ounce jar of peanut butter. This is according to the National Peanut Board (yes, this is a real thing that exists).  Also, come to find out anything labeled “peanut butter” has to be at least 90% peanuts for it to officially be classified as peanut butter.

Delicious. Now I’m craving some.
