TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD: Man’s Late Father Leaves $10 To Buy Him His First Beer on 21st Birthday

TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD: Man’s Late Father Leaves $10 To Buy Him His First Beer on 21st Birthday

Some stories start off sad and end up being really good in the end. That’s exactly what today’s #TellMeSomethingGood is all about.

A guy in Massachusetts named Matt Goodman sadly lost his dad to cancer six years ago, but got a surprise gift from him on his 21st birthday last weekend.

Before he passed, his dad John gave Matt’s sister a $10 bill, and said he wanted to buy Matt his first beer.  Matt used it to buy a Bud Light, which was his dad’s favorite.

Once the people at Budweiser heard about the story they sent Matt eight more 30-packs!

Now people from all over the world are sending Matt money on Venmo, trying to buy him a beer.  It’s gotten so big that he’s asking people to donate to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute instead.

What a great cause and heart-warming story all around. Love this.

MUNDANE MYSTERIES: Why does hair turn gray and white?

MUNDANE MYSTERIES: Why does hair turn gray and white?

As we get older everyone has that moment where you notice your first gray hair. Some people freak out, some embrace it with the salt and pepper look. But why does it happen?

When we age our hair loses it’s natural color because the proteins in your hair receive less pigment. As you get older the pigment cells in the hair follicles gradually die off making your hair look gray. Later in life no pigment at all comes in and that’s what makes the air look white.

The interesting thing is people can get gray hair at any age. Just depends on the person and their genetics.

TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD: Seven Year Old Girl Raises $20,000 For Hospital In Need Of PPE

The things kids have been doing to help out during the pandemic this year have been extremely inspiring to say the least.

This latest story out of Chicago is incredible. Seven-year-old Hayley Orlinsky has been making and selling her homemade bracelets for charity. Her original goal was to get to $200. She has now raised almost $20,000! She says she’s using all the money to help buy PPE for the children’s hospital that treated her as a baby. What a great way to bring things full circle. The bracelets are really cool too!
