TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD: Customers Raise Money To Help Their Favorite Drive-Thru Employee

TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD: Customers Raise Money To Help Their Favorite Drive-Thru Employee

I’m predicting it now. 2021 will be the year we see more human connection than every before. Stories like this are exactly why.

This one drive-thru worker in Canada recently mentioned to a customer that he used to go to college but had to drop out because he couldn’t afford it.  So a bunch of customers who come through his window all the time started a GoFundMe page that’s now raised over $20,000 to send him back to school!

They surprised him in the parking lot outside of the Tim Hortons where he works. Here’s the video:

MUNDANE MYSTERIES: Where did the expression “Let the cat out of the bag” come from?

MUNDANE MYSTERIES: Where did the expression “Let the cat out of the bag” come from?

You’ve heard it many times, probably even used it yourself. But it’s such an odd phrase that like me I’m sure you’re wondering where exactly “let the cat out of the bag” came from?

Centuries ago merchants who sold piglets to people in markets used to sometimes fool the customer by switching out the pig and putting a cat in their bag when the person wasn’t looking after they already paid for it. It wasn’t until the customer got home and… ready for it… “let the cat out of the bag” that they realized they had been duped!

Adam and Tiffany are dating and recently moved in together. His parents bought them a couch for Christmas and it was just delivered. She thinks it’s hideous and doesn’t match her vision for their first home. She wants him to ask them to return it, he says you can’t return a gift- especially a couch! She says they were wrong to get them something so personal. Whose side are you on?

Lynn and the Post Office Crew are the first people to take on Raven this year?  Will 2021 begin with a loss for Raven, or will the jackpot rise to $1500?

TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD: 300 People Dressed As Santa Set World Record, Raise Money For Charity

Talk about setting a great world record. With no Santa-Con’s happening this year these fishing lunatics picked up the slack. 300 people all dressed as Santa went fishing on a lake in North Carolina to break the world record for most people dressed as Santa.  The event also raised money for a good cause. Bringing in $15,000 worth of donations for Toys for Tots.

Fun fact: Santa Claus loves gettin’ after some Bass before Christmas time! About 300 anglers decked out as Santa Claus…
