If you tossed a few coins into fountains and made some wishes the last time you visited Disney World you most likely contributed to a great cause.
Walt Disney World recently pulled $20,000 in coins from its wishing wells and fountains around the parks, and used the money to serve Thanksgiving dinner to hundreds of homeless people in Central Florida over the weekend.

Doctors and nurses across the world have been working on the front lines of this pandemic this year. We are thankful to each and every one of them. Most doctors in hospitals you will find wearing white coats, but why white?
Way back in the 19th century they were originally wore black coats to hide any stains and to look more formal/professional. But later in the century the medical world decided they wanted the aesthetics of everything in the hospital to look as clean as possible. White coats signified “cleanliness” much more than black and reflected the overall movement against germs.

Thanksgiving is going to be a lot different for many people this year thanks to this stupid virus. Some college students won’t even be able to leave campus to come home to their family which is very sad. Luckily there are many stories popping up of people helping out students. Like Elizabeth Pearce who teaches at The University of Iowa. Last week she sent out an email to her students offering to deliver Thanksgiving dinner to their dorms on Thursday if they couldn’t make it home this year. How nice is that?! Such a wonderful thing to do.
One of her students tweeted about it and the email went viral.

dThe Presidential pardoning of the turkey is one of my favorite annual traditions around this time of year. One lucky turkey gets spared by the leader of the free world. But what happens to the turkey after the pardon? Do they just go back to regular turkey life? Vacation? Roaming the streets again?
Every president has pardoned a turkey since George H.W. Bush officially started the tradition back in 1989. In 2005 and 2009, the pardoned turkeys went to Disneyland and Walt Disney World parks to serve as grand marshal in their annual Thanksgiving parades. That’s so fun! It’s like they won the Super Bowl or something. “I’m going to Disneyworld! Gobble Gobble!”
From 2010 to 2013, the lucky birds vacationed at Washington’s Mount Vernon state. Fancy.
No word yet on the plans of this year’s turkeys who’s named are Corn and Cob. They might be staying home for the holidays like everyone else. They did spends some time at the very nice Willard InterContinental hotel, in DC before their pardon though.
