TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD: Group Of Kids Step Up To Help Restaurant Staff Who Was Robbed

TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD: Group Of Kids Step Up To Help Restaurant Staff Who Was Robbed

Robbery is never good. Any time, any place. But ESPECIALLY during a pandemic when so many businesses and restaurants are struggling.

Some idiots in Minnesota recently stole an envelope from a local restaurant which had about $300 in tips inside belonging to the staff.  Here’s where the “good” comes in. A group of five kids in the town stepped up to help.  They had made some money over the summer by helping on their family’s farm.  So they decided to pool it together (about $200) and give the restaurant staff. How awesome is that?!

More of this in 2021 please. Oh, and stop robbing people.

MUNDANE MYSTERIES: Why does seeing food you like make your mouth water?

MUNDANE MYSTERIES: Why does seeing food you like make your mouth water?

You’ve felt that feeling before. You see, think, or smell a juicy burger or delicious slice of pizza and your mouth instantly starts watering. It might be happening to you right now just reading this. But why?

It’s all because of our reflex system which is essentially preparing our bodies for the food we are about to eat. Nerve signals are sent to our salivary glands to essentially start preparing saliva to assist with chewing, tasting and digestion of the food. Wow. Science! Our bodies are so cool.

TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD: A Pandemic Love Story That Ended In Marraige

TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD: A Pandemic Love Story That Ended In Marraige

2020 was bad for everyone. Some people even found love!

This is a great pandemic love story. An ex-couple in Canada who were high school sweethearts got back in touch with each other last year after more than 60 YEARS! He’s 84, and she’s 81. She called him last February on  Valentine’s Day, and they started talking on the phone keeping in touch all year though the pandemic.  They finally met up in person over the summer, and now they’re married. So sweet. Congrats to the happy couple!
