MUNDANE MYSTERIES: Where does Trick or Treating come from?

MUNDANE MYSTERIES: Where does Trick or Treating come from?

Every year you dress up with the kids and go knock on doors, ring doorbells, and say “Trick or treat”. But why do we even do this? Where did it all come from?

It all started back in the 1930s. When young boys would spend Halloween going around pranking local farmers. Not a very nice thing to do by the way.  In order to try and stop them from pulling these pranks the farmers started to make deals with the boys and offer them “a treat” in exchange for not getting a” trick” pulled on them. It worked!

Hopefully this weekend you don’t get tricked or pranked. I would advise giving out as many treats as you can to avoid all the tricks.

Trick or Treat?! Always treat.
