TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD: A 14-Year-Old Girl May Have Developed A Treatment For COVID-19

It’s inspiring to think that a 14-year-old student may have discovered a treatment for COVID-19 that could also help prevent this type of pandemic in the future.

Her name is Anika Chebrolu from Frisco, TX and is one of the country’s top young scientists. She recently won $25,000 for an annual contest called the Young Scientist Challenge. She won the contest for her work on a molecule that could potentially bind to coronavirus proteins and make them inactive.

Amazing. These are the type of brilliant young minds that will keep us healthy and shape our world for generations to come.

MUNDANE MYSTERIES: Why Does Chopping Onions Make You Cry?

MUNDANE MYSTERIES: Why Does Chopping Onions Make You Cry?

This happens to me every time I make guacamole. EVERY TIME! That’s really the only thing I chop onions for. But why do they do that?

Onions actually produce a chemical irritant known as syn-propanethial-S-oxide. As you cut the onion that gets into the air and stimulates the eyes’ “lachrymal glands”. As they become irritated that’s what produces the tears!

So to recap, a chemical you probably can’t even pronounce is what makes you turn into a weeping baby over your cutting board.

Justin Bieber Releases Raw, Emotional New Song & Video

Justin Bieber Releases Raw, Emotional New Song & Video

Justin Bieber has been VERY busy despite the pandemic and being stuck in the house for most of the year. He just released a new song “HOLY” with Chance The Rapper, has his own custom designed Crocs, and last night released yet another new song.

This one isn’t as fun and uplifting as HOLY though. It’s sort of a dark, emotional song about his struggles with getting so famous at such a young age. The video is actually beautifully shot and edited. I guess music can have all kinds of moods and this is Justin’s somber side.
