Tell Me Something Good: Military Dad Returns Home To Surprise Family Dressed As Pizza Delivery Guy

Tell Me Something Good: Military Dad Returns Home To Surprise Family Dressed As Pizza Delivery Guy

I’m a sucker for videos of military troops coming home to surprise their family after being away for so long. It’s just so nice to see pure excitement and joy like that. And the dog ones?! Forget about it, give me all the tissues.

This story has an added element of fun to it as this guy decided to dress up to prank his sons. From Tampa and in the Air Force Javier Franco Jr. got stuck overseas because of the pandemic, and hadn’t seen his family in 17 months.  Can you imagine?! Being away from your loved ones during everything that’s been happening in 2020. Crazy. So he decided to pull a surprise prank on his sons when he got home by pretending to be the pizza delivery guy! The added element of everyone wearing masks nowadays made this prank a little easier.

As you can imagine when they finally saw his face and realized it was him, the younger son gave him a big hug.  His older son couldn’t even talk and had tears in his eyes.

Amazing.

Here’s the video:

Tell Me Something Good: Teenage Wiz Uses Spare Time Refurbishing Old Computers To Give Back To Kids

Tell Me Something Good: Teenage Wiz Uses Spare Time Refurbishing Old Computers To Give Back To Kids

Most people, especially kids, have had a lot more spare time during summer 2020 due to the pandemic. Some are using that time to take their natural skills and make a positive impact on their community.

Like this 15-year-old computer wiz in Jacksonville, Florida. He has been using his time to refurbish old computers and donate them to kids who don’t have one.  His name is Chris Kilpatrick, and he’s done about 20 machines so far.  They’re all going to kids involved in the Big Brothers Big Sisters program.  It started out as an idea he got while doing his summer internship with a company that takes old electronics and recycles them, or sells the parts.  Which he saw as an opportunity to help people during these crazy times we’re living in.

Well done, Chris. Such a cool idea that’s making a huge difference for so many kids.
