One of the things I miss the most during these pandemic times is live music. The excitement, emotion, and thrill you get from seeing a band or artist live. There’s truly nothing like it. Sadly, Covid has robbed us of that experience for much of the year so far. Until this happened the other night…
A concert venue in England has come up with what looks to be a pretty good plan for having concerts again. As you can see in the photo and videos below they basically set up a bunch of “pods”, that kind of look like the VIP seating at an outdoor amphitheater. It’s just square areas with metal barriers around them, separated from each other by several feet. You sit or stand in each pod with your group of friends or family that you came to the show with, and there’s no intermingling with other groups.
Honestly? At 36 years old and my crowd surfing and “pushing to the front of the stage” days well behind me, this is the ONLY way I want to go to concerts now. Not crowded, no one pushing or annoying you. It’s perfect actually.
They even figured out how to avoid mingling with people in concession lines. Fans pre-order all the food and drinks, which they receive as they enter the venue. Brilliant!
Now, someone PLEASE bring this idea to the the U.S. here in Connecticut so we can see live music again.
Honestly, this is everything I want as a 36 year old concert goer. https://t.co/2XBn1MnGZp
