Fishing is great family fun and a healthy outdoor activity enjoyed by young and old alike. Some of the programs developed by DEP to enhance fishing opportunities include fishing education for children and families, the creation of special fishing areas such as Trout Parks, and an aggressive program to allow passage of fish from our ocean waters to the northern stretches of many of the state’s larger streams.

The Department of Environmental Protection is working hard to keep Connecticut’s waterways safe, clean and fun for all boaters. We look to every boat operator to help us in our efforts by knowing and obeying the laws and regulations as well as exercising sound environmental practices. Enjoy your time on our waters. We’ve decided there’s a lot of towns here in Connecticut that most people have no idea about the cool history they contain, or the best place to hang out, or their modern day claim to fame. Well, no more because Anna & Raven have taken it upon themselves to spend a week highlighting each of our Star Town’s. This week it’s all about Seymour! It will be madness! Connecticut, whoo whoo!

As is custom we like to start the week with a pop quiz to see who in the room know’s the most about our featured town!
