TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD: Elementary school student dresses up as her favorite super hero, her teacher

Kids are just the best. If this story doesn’t warm your heart as a parent I don’t know what to tell you.

An elementary school class in Arkansas had a theme day where they let all the kids come to school dressed as their favorite super hero.  Lots of Superman, Batman, Spidey, Wonder Woman… and then one eight-year-old named Caroline came in dressed exactly like her teacher. Which is so adorable.

Here’s a photo of them together.

Love it!

MUNDANE MYSTERIES: Why is Pi Day on March 14th?

MUNDANE MYSTERIES: Why is Pi Day on March 14th?

You’ve probably seen this all over your feeds today. People wishing “Happy Pi Day!” with pizza gifs, apple pie photos, and lots of numbers in a row. But why today?

Let’s start with the he symbol for Pi. Which has been around for 250 years now. First introduced by a Welsh mathematician in 1706. It was then made popular by another mathematician named Leonhard Euler.

The concept behind the number is that the exact value of pi can never be calculated. This is because it’s impossible to every find the accurate area or circumference of a circle.

The reason why people celebrate on March 14 or 3/14 is because the first digits of the value of Pi are 3.14. Then the infinite number goes on forever from there. Never ending.

Math nerds already knew this. But now you do too! Happy Pi Day indeed.

TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD: Best grandmother ever walks 16 miles to watch grandson win golf tournament

TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD: Best grandmother ever walks 16 miles to watch grandson win golf tournament

If you’re a golf fan like I am you may have see this story. But even if you’re not, it’s a great one.

Pro golfer Scottie Scheffler won The Players Championship on Sunday. As he walked off the 18th green most of his family were there to congratulate him. Including his 88-year-old grandmother, Mary. She lives about 20 minutes from the course just outside of Jacksonville, FL. She walked all 72 holes with Scottie from Thursday to Sunday of the 4 day tournament. Every single hole. 16 miles total! What a trooper. And it all paid off as she was about to watch her grandson win the whole thing.

When Scottie was asked at his post round press conference how he was going to celebrate he said “I dunno maybe grandma’s got some food at home, I know she has some good dessert”

Congrats to Scottie on the win. And to Mary on her 16 mile victory walk!
