TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD: Without women we’d never have these everyday items

TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD: Without women we’d never have these everyday items

As we continued to honor all the women in our lives for International Women’s Day I thought it would be nice to recognize that without women there are some items and products we never would’ve had.

A woman invented all of the following things…

  • Disposable diapers
  • non-reflective glass
  • paper bags
  • dishwasher
  • the foot-pedal trashcan

And I’m sure there are many more. Thank you to all the inventive women of the past, present, and future generations.

MUNDANE MYSTERIES: What do the colors of International Women’s Day represent?

Today is International Women’s Day! if you’ve been following on social and online you’ve probably seen a lot of logos and symbols with the colors purple, green and white.

According to the International Women’s Day website… purple stands for dignity and justice, green for hope, and white for purity.

The color scheme began when the Women’s Social and Political Union formed in the UK back in 1908 and has continued ever since.

Being on hold is never fun, but the USPS tried something new to keep Anna on the line, and it may have worked! (10:55)

Hailey and Jason left their puppy with a dog sitter while they were away. They instructed the woman to crate their dog whenever unsupervised because they knew she’d have anxiety. The dog sitter has now billed them an additional $300 because their puppy destroyed a rug. Hailey wants to just pay for it, their dog did it, it’s only fair. Jason says it’s their own fault, if the dog was in the crate, as instructed, it would have been a non-issue. Whose side are you on? (36:55)

Nicole has got a shot at $3300!  All she has to do is beat Raven in pop culture trivia! (43:48)

A New Viral Snack

A New Viral Snack

A woman went viral for talking about an after-school snack that many French kids eat. Anna’s upset because she’s been pushing this snack since she was a kid and would get made fun of in the cafeteria for eating it. Thoughts?
