He thinks he’s super cool and wants to ask him to hang out more. He says that making him a friend is only better for their relationship as they become a stronger mixed family. TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD: 5-year-old girl who donated all the money in her piggy bank as a kid, just got rewarded for it 13 years later in a big way

If you don’t believe in good karma… this story might change your mind.

13 years ago, a 5-year-old girl in Canada named Juliette Lamour wanted to help out everyone who was affected by the 2010 earthquake that happened in Haiti. She decided to donate all the money in her piggy bank to the Red Cross. Which totaled $61.38. Such a sweet thing for a kid to do.

Fast forward to present day 2023. Juliette just turned 18 years old recently and went to buy her very first lottery ticket…. which, wait for it…. hit for $48 MILLION! Unreal.

She was presented with the giant check last week. Talk about good karma!

Super Bowl is coming up on Sunday so today’s mystery is football related. A lot of the prop bets from Vegas have started to come out. Random things you can bet on like the coin toss, “how long will the national anthem be”, and what color Gatorade the winning team will dump on the coach. Always very fun. But one bet that confused me, even as someone who watches football a lot was “player records an octopus” An octopus? What does that mean?!

Apparently it’s when a player scores a touchdown, then the team goes for the 2-point conversion which the same player also scores that as well. Giving that player 8 points total. Get it? eight, octopus. Pretty funny! I bet it pays out a lot too since it seems very rare that would happen.

Right down the street in Branford is Lennys. Who is offering Uncle Lloyds Baby Back Ribs for the Super Bowl. This offer includes 8 Half Racks with Lenny’s housemade BBQ sauce. I’m a huge rib girl, so I hope to have some Sunday night.

What’s a football game without some wings? One6Three in New Haven is offering 10% off all wing orders and if you buy four large pizzas, you get a free cheese pizza. So two of my favorite things, pizza and wings, definitely look for that Superbowl offer from 163.

I’m going to keep up in New Haven to introduce Camacho Garage’s Superbowl offer – which is there Famila Dinners – which are family style dinners at really great prices too, they are offering pulled pork tacos, chicken, and steak meals too. So if you want some really flavorful tacos, my favorite are the birria, look to Camacho Garage for Sunday’s game.

Lastly, I have Zuppardis Pizza which has locations in West Haven, Ansonia and Derby. For Super Bowl they are offering their Stuffed Breads: Pepperoni, Buffalo Chicken, Spinach, Chicken or Eggplant Parm or even Philly Steak. I would love to get my hands on that philly steak stuffed bread, perfect for an appetizer for Sunday.
