Bakery Gets Surprise Request Order To Make Taylor Swift’s Birthday Cake

Imagine the pressure of being a bakery during the holiday season. Now imagine the pressure of being a bakery during the holiday season who gets a phone call from Taylor Swift’s team ordering a birthday cake that needs to be ready in less than 24 hours.

That’s exactly what happened to Bywater Bakery in New Orleans last week and they stepped up to the challenge creating a “Lavender Haze Surprise”

MUNDANE MYSTERIES: Christmas themed stamps haven’t always been around, come to find out

MUNDANE MYSTERIES: Christmas themed stamps haven’t always been around, come to find out

We just finished sending writing and sending out our Christmas cards in our house. Which involved lots of holiday postage stamps. These weren’t always available though.

Canada debuted the first Christmas postage stamp in 1898! Then it took forever for America to catch up. The first U.S. Christmas themed stamp was issued in 1962. The design was a candle and wreaths in green and red.

I feel like they should bring that back one year.

TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD: Bakery lends a hand to the community’s holiday season baking needs

TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD: Bakery lends a hand to the community’s holiday season baking needs

I feel like bakery owners are naturally very helpful to others and just overall kind people. Like this bakery in England called Brickyard Bakery. They have opened up their facility and oven to anyone in the area who might need to bake some treats for the holidays. Engery costs have skyrocketed over in England so doing it at home could be very costly. Brickyard are letting people do it free of charge. All they need to do is drop off whatever it is their making all set to go in the oven. Cakes, breads, cookies, whatever it may be. Then a few days later they can come pick it up.

What a generous thing to do. Love that!

MUNDANE MYSTERIES: How tall is the tallest Christmas tree ever?

MUNDANE MYSTERIES: How tall is the tallest Christmas tree ever?

If you celebrate Christmas you probably have you tree up already in the living room. Usually anywhere from 4 feet to 7 or 8 feet for standard home. Then we have the big trees in the center of town or at Rockefeller Center which seem massive. But none of the come close to the tallest Christmas tree of all time.

According to the Guinness Book of World Records, the tallest Christmas tree ever was a 221-foot Douglas fir displayed in Seattle, Washington back in 1950. For a little perspective, 221 feet is more than 20 stories tall. Skyscraper type height. Insane!

I’m not sure anything will beat that record, but if there is a tree that will do it probably has many more years to go before it grows to that height.
