MUNDANE MYSTERIES: What is Giving Tuesday?

MUNDANE MYSTERIES: What is Giving Tuesday?

As we all double check our bank accounts and credit card balances from the haze of Black Friday Cyber Monday weekend… today is a day to offset it. Giving Tuesday.

Giving Tuesday is always the first Tuesday after Thanksgiving.  The idea is that instead of buying things for yourself like we’ve all done over the weekend, it’s about being generous and donating/giving to others.

Giving Tuesday was first celebrated 10 years ago in 2012. Now at the 10th anniversary there are more than 85 countries who participate. Last year here in America people gave about $2.7 BILLION!

So find a non-profit or charity you’re passionate about and be part of this year’s Giving Tuesday.
