TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD: Connecticut Theater Is Changing The Lives of Many People While Cooking Up Delicious Popcorn

Today is National Popcorn Day! Yum

I recently heard about this really unique popcorn business in Ridgefield, CT after they reached out about their popcorn a few weeks ago. They’re called Prospector Popcorn and they are doing amazing work for people with disabilities.

Not only do they make the best Gourmet Popcorn… they also transform the lives of disabled individuals by giving them equal, competitive and integrated employment opportunities so they can live better lives. Which is in incredible.

They’ve already employed over 200 people with disabilities! All those jobs have helped grow Prospector Popcorn to be the #1 popcorn brand in the Northeast. They do all the popping and prepping for the Gourmet Popcorn fresh daily at the Prospector Theater, a first-run movie theater in Ridgefield, CT.

The employees of the theater are known as “Prospects”, and the company proudly states “we live a higher quality of life through the popportunities that meaningful work provides.” Lots of puns, I love it.

They’re doing a sale today too for National Popcorn Day. Check it out HERE!
