Usually when you leave an NBA game at an arena in a major city you don’t expect to suddenly see someone drowning. But that’s exactly what happened to 18-year-old Finn Carter and his Dad up in Boston last Friday.
They had just enjoyed the Celtics game at TD Garden when they saw a guy drowning in the harbor nearby. Without hesitation Finn sprung into action and ran into the water to bring him to the side of the road. By the time he got him out the paramedics had arrived.
The next day Finn woke up and took the S.A.T.’s. Hopefully he had some good karma going for that test score.
Finn’s father said he’s really proud of his son for having that natural reaction to go immediately help someone in danger.
Hopefully you got your “I Voted” sticker after you hit the polls yesterday. The tradition of giving out the stickers started back in the early 80s in Miami and Phoenix as a way to encourage people to vote while creating a sense of community. Then caught on over the years to everywhere else.
The stickers cost less than a penny each to make. Usually the local governments order and pay for them. A company called Intab, who make all different kinds of election supplies, say they sell rolls of 1,000 stickers for $7 a pop and normally sell more than 30 million per year.
And my pro tip to avoid missing out on your sticker for next election… vote early!
Anna and Raven found there was a lot of disappointment on election day, and ironically, none of the major problems had to do with the actual candidates. Did you run into these issues too? Catch up with the podcast.

Jason and Meghan host Thanksgiving each year and usually have over 35 people. Despite the fact that Meghan is a chef, she usually gets very stressed with the party at her home. Jason said this year they should make a full potluck. She only makes the turkey, and everyone else gets assigned something. She’s says absolutely not, it’s expected for her to cook, it’s her Super Bowl! And only he has to deal with her stress, not the guests. What would you do? Would you relinquish the cooking powers? (37:10)
Allison has got a shot at $3100! All she has to do is beat Raven in pop culture trivia! (44:15)

Okay, so you didn’t win the historic $2 billion Powerball jackpot (super shady with all the drama and delay of the numbers by the way…) but this story is sure to cheer you up.
A 93-year-old man in Ontario Canada is about to live out the rest of his life as a millionaire.
He plays the lottery all the time, and now he finally hit it big! His son was the one who made him double check his tickets for Lotto Max game he was playing. And sure enough, one of them hit for $1 million!
He says with the money he wants to give some to his caregivers who have been helping him, pay off his mortgage, and then take a little time to figure out what he wants to do with the rest.
Still feeling tired and hungover even though you didn’t drink? Darkness arriving before you even leave the office. Yes, Daylight Saving Time is the worst. But how long will you feel awful? Not too much longer hopefully.
The average person’s body needs about 66 hours to fully adjust to the clock change and that hour difference. In theory you should be back to normal by 7:00 P.M. tonight. The nice and rested for tomorrow morning.
It will still be dark out early, but hey… at least you won’t be as tired.
