TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD: Woman uses tech-savvy idea to reunite families with their lost dogs

If you have a dog you know how crushing it can be to lose them or if they were wonder off from your house. Luckily some people are using technology to make it easier to find lost pets now. Like 33-year-old Erica Hart.

Erica lives in England and recently just discovered a way to look for lost pets from a birdseye view, using her drone! Recently a pretty bad thunderstorm ripped through their neighborhood and one family had their dog run away after being startled by the thunder. Erica fired up the drone and was able to track down the pup within 20 minutes after the family told her the last place the dog was seen.

She directed the family to the nearby residential road she spotted their 2 year old dog and the family went to that spot and found her.

I feel like this could be turned into a business all over for people who lose their pets.

TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD: Dog Helps Lost Owner Find Her Way Home

TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD: Dog Helps Lost Owner Find Her Way Home

You always hear the phrase “Dogs are a man’s best friend” but it’s more accurate that dogs are everyone’s best friend.

Like this story of an 84-year-old woman in Houston who managed to wander off from her home and was missing for 48 hours. Luckily is is back home safe and okay now. Incredibly the dog she had adopted just about a week earlier named Maximus, followed her out of the house and stayed by her side the entire time. What a good boy!

Dog lovers are crying right now, and even if you’re not a dog lover you have to admit this story warms your heart a little. Dogs are just the best.

MUNDANE MYSTERIES: Where did the word “emoji” come from?

MUNDANE MYSTERIES: Where did the word “emoji” come from?

You’ve no doubt used them thousands of times when texting. Emojis. But where did that term come from anyway?

The actually word emoji is actually a combo of a few Japanese characters 絵 (“e,” meaning picture), 文 (“mo,” means write) and 字 (“ji,” character). Super interesting how we now communicate with pictures just like they did back in ancient times.
