The U.S. Open just wrapped up last week in New York. If you watched any of the matches you no doubt heard a lot of grunting. But is there a reason they do that? Yes, in fact there is.

According to experts If you grunt when you hit a tennis ball, your shot will be approximately 3.8% faster. So there is an element of strategy to it. There not just doing it to sound tough.
