If you have tattoos you know how personal that ink can be. A lot, if not all, tattoos usually have some sort of personal story behind them. So to lose that can be awful.
That’s what a lot of troops go through if they get wounded and lose a limb that might have one of their tattoos on it. To be honest, something I never even thought of since I don’t have tattoos.
But now Walter Reed National Medical Center has figured out a way to transfer those lost tattoos onto their prosthetic artificial limb. Just an incredible idea that I’m sure means a lot to many of these people who have lost sentimental pieces.

It’s Shark Week so I figured this would be a good time to figure out if sharks have bones or not.
They do not.
Sharks actually use their gills to filter oxygen from the water. They are a special type of fish that’s made of up of all cartilage tissues like the stuff your ears and nose tip are made of. Similar to other fish like rays and skates. These cartilaginous skeletons are much much lighter than regular bone helping them float better.
They do tend to fossilize though because over time they build up calcium salts in which strengthens their skeleton.
