Thursday July 28, 2022:  Anna’s Cyclops; Crazy School Project; Surgical Golf Outing

Have you ever had a rude encounter with a celebrity?  Jojo Siwa spilled the tea on the rudest celebrity she’s ever met and it got Anna thinking about the terrible encounter she had with a music industry icon!  (:30)

Anna had surgery yesterday and the worst part wasn’t the recovery or the preparation.  The worst part happened right before she went under… (3:16)

Nostalgia is nice, but if you’re a grown adult still following a boy band around the country, that’s all I need to know about you!  (6:46)

Anna has three news stories and Raven is gonna pick on to get the details on!  Today his options are; a new tattoo for a loyal customer, a million dollar pastor and alien cats!  (10:45)

What would you do if you suddenly became a billionaire overnight? Raven has a plan, but Anna thinks it’s a terrible investment!  (13:38)

Did you ever have a huge school project that you’ll never forget?  Anna’s middle-schooler has a huge project coming up this school year, but Anna thinks her teacher is being a little dramatic about it!  (17:26)

Anna isn’t sure if she’s overreacting.  She had surgery yesterday and during her surgery her husband went out and did something that she thinks is way out of line!  (28:15)

Joe and Whitney are expecting their first baby in six weeks. Joe has found “the perfect” puppy and has been looking for a long time. Whitney says it’s too much to get a puppy at the same time they’re having a baby, Joe says it’s perfect because they’ll grow up together. Whose side are you on?  (35:35)

Lauren has a shot at $400!  All she has to do is beat Raven in pop culture trivia!  (42:44)

TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD: Why you should be happy you did NOT win the Mega Millions Jackpot

TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD: Why you should be happy you did NOT win the Mega Millions Jackpot

Bad news… you didn’t win the Mega Millions jackpot Tuesday night. Good news… nobody did!

This is why you should be really excited today that you didn’t win last night. Because now the updated Mega Millions jackpot has skyrocketed up to $1.02 billion. Yes. Billion with a B. It could get even higher by the time they draw it on Friday night which could make it the third largest jackpot in lottery history.

There hasn’t been a Mega Millions jackpot winner in months, since April 15th .

Now, while your odds are very low, about 1 in 302 million, someone has to win right?!

Good luck. Choose those numbers wisely.

MUNDANE MYSTERIES: Who invented the lottery?

MUNDANE MYSTERIES: Who invented the lottery?

With everyone talking about the historic Mega Millions jackpot (now at $1.02 billion for Friday btw) seems like a good time to look back and see just where the lotto started.

For thousands of year people have experimented with raffles, prizes and all kinds of games or contests, but the first documented official lottery was created and run by Queen Elizabeth I in 1566. The game took 3 years to pull a winner and was drawn in 1569.

They sold 400,000 tickets which at the time cost £0.50 each. That was about three weeks of pay for ordinary people back then. The grand prize winner got £5,000.

I’m sure those people would faint if they found out how much our lotto prizes are now.
