Just when you thought you were done with the Kanye/Pete Davidson story, a new development has happened that’s completely out of this world!  (2:44)

The gas crisis is affecting everyone in the country, so if you’re out here making it worse, that’s all I need to know about you!  (5:57)

What do you do with old cards that people give you?  Is there a polite amount of time before you throw them out?  Anna has taken a pretty firm stance about how her family gives and receives cards and it might not be what you think!  (13:30)

Have you had to stay in a Covid hotel?  Anna’s friend is currently stuck in one in Panama and she called in to tell them all about it!  (21:11)

The increasing gas prices have got us all going a little crazy, so to help, we want to fill your tank! All this week, play “Heads Up” for a chance to let us fill your gas tank!  (25:11)

Amanda and Ken’s 17-year-old daughter became very close friends with their neighbor’s daughter. The problem is that they don’t like the neighbors very much. Amanda would like to have a conversation with her daughter about not being her friend anymore. Ken thinks you can’t tell someone who to be friends with, she’ll just rebel. What do you think? (37:23)

TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD: March Madness is here and Connecticut is well represented

TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD: March Madness is here and Connecticut is well represented

It’s that time of year again. When you fill out an office pool bracket without knowing one thing about college basketball. It’s fun though! Even if you don’t follow basketball at all, it’s always great to see some of our Connecticut teams in the tourney too.

Both UConn men and women’s teams made the big dance this year. Then in addition to the Huskies, the Yale men also made the tournament, as well as the Fairfield women.

Here is when and where you can watch them all this week. Go CT!

MUNDANE MYSTERIES: Have we ever tried to get rid of Daylight Saving Time?

MUNDANE MYSTERIES: Have we ever tried to get rid of Daylight Saving Time?

Twice a year we as a country have the debate of whether we should still be turning our clocks back and ahead an hour. The growing majority of people seem done with it and want it to just be light out longer all year. I’m firmly in that camp, especially now that I have young kids and the sleep schedules are thrown completely out of whack every time.

But have we ever tried to get rid of it? The answer is yes. One time. Back when Nixon was President in 1974-75 they tried to do away with it for 16 months. It lasted that long until parents went crazy because half the year the kids were spending the first half of their school day in darkness. To which I say… who cares?! You’re inside, just turn the lights on.

Raven’s Pet Pals – Meet Rocky

Raven’s Pet Pals – Meet Rocky

Meet Rocky, a dog who was truly given a second chance at life. This beautiful one-year-old pit/boxer mix was seized by animal control after being found extremely emaciated and weighing in at only 30 lbs. Since he was rescued, Rocky is now weighing a healthy 55 lbs. and is ready for his new beginning!

Despite the neglect he endured, Rocky adores people and being by your side, whether it be outside in the yard or on the couch! His big smile and wagging tail is guaranteed to light up any room. He loves everyone he meets, including other dogs. Rocky has a nice medium energy level but is also very much a clumsy and silly puppy. He would benefit from basic training.

Rocky is a very good boy and is working hard on crate training and is nearly house trained. He is easily corrected and is very food motivated – he already knows “sit” and is currently learning “wait.” He has demonstrated a bit of separation anxiety so adopters not gone long hours are highly preferred. Due to his size, Rocky would be best in a home with dog savvy children, preferably 10 years and up. A fenced yard is required and it must be 6ft. or higher because he’s a jumper.

His adoption fee is $350 and Rocky is up to date on vaccines, microchipped, heartworm negative, and neutered. If you are interested in adopting this handsome hunk, please complete the application at form.jotform.com/200883908893166. For questions, email [email protected]
