It’s always great to hear stories of people looking out for each other even if they are complete strangers.
This story happened at a Starbucks in Corpus Christi, TX. The mother of the 18-year-old posted what happened on her Facebook page last Friday. Her daughter decided to go to the Starbucks to study when a weird man started bothering her at the table. Talking loudly, trying to get her attention, etc… that’s when the barista’s went into action.
They came up with a clever plan by writing on a cup “Are you okay? Do you want us to intervene? If you do, take the lid off the cup,” and dropping it off to her.
The guy realized what was happening eventually and left the store. Luckily the girl said she didn’t feel threatened at all so everything turned out okay. But what a smart move by those Starbucks workers!
We need more people like this looking out for each other in the world.
If you haven’t noticed by now from everyone you’ve talked to today and all the posts in your feed… it’s 2/22/2022 AND… it falls on a Tuesday, or TWOSDAY as the internet has dubbed it. So why is this so special and mind blowing?
First of all it won’t happen on a Tuesday again for another 400 years. 2422 will be the next time we can celebrate. Which barring some miracle scientific breakthrough is well past all of our lifetimes.
A few other fun Twosday facts to throw at your friends today…
This century alone we have already had a couple Onesdays (1/11/11 and 11/11/11)
There has also been 11 other months with repetitions such as 01/01/01, 06/06/06 and 12/12/12.
Looking ahead we will have a Threesday on 3/3/33 11 years from now. And a Foursday on 4/4/44 11 years after that.
Fun! I would suggest playing a lot of 2’s and 22’s in the lotto tonight.

This week a very historic house in Southport was set to me demolished when a neighbor swooped in to save the day.
John Koren who lives a few houses down the road heard that the home was going to be destroyed. Since he had been in the market to build a guest house anyway he decided to save himself the trouble of all the contruction and just move THIS HOUSE to HIS property.
Sounds crazy, but after building a giant steel track and moving it little by little for a few days they got it done. Impressive!
Maybe you are still snacking on a few leftover cupcakes from Valentine’s Day and this thought crossed your mind. What is the difference between frosting and icing? Not a whole lot actually, but there are subtle differences.
Frosting is generally thicker and fluffier than icing. Icing rends to be shiny and thin making it harder to spread across a big cake like frosting. Icing it better spooned or drizzled on baked goods. Icing also has a sugar base whereas frosting is usually buttercream and sweeter. Frosting is better for coloring too.
