11,000 miles away from Connecticut in Beijing the 2022 Winter Olympics are happening with a number of local athletes competing. And now Team U.S.A.’s first medal of these winter games was won by one of our own here in CT!
24-year-old Julia Marino from Westport won the silver medal in the womenās slopestyle snowboarding event. Itās also the first medal for the United States at the Beijing Winter Olympics. Said she was āover the moonā about the whole experience.
