TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD: Surprise on-stage reunion brings Adele to tears

Adele has been all over the news lately. Her new album 30 came out last week, she did the Oprah interview/concert a few weeks ago, and now she’s going viral for what happened on Sunday night.

Adele was doing a pre-recorded concert special over in the UK called “An Audience With Adele” when the interviewer asked her if there was anyone in her past who had supported her, inspired her or protected her from life’s trials and tribulations. Adele mentioned her English teacher Miss McDonald who got her into English Literature which lead to being obsessed with English and writing lyrics.

Then… they brought the teacher out on stage! Adele had not seen her in 20 years and instantly broke down in tears. Usually it’s Adele surprising her fans on stage, now someone turned the surprise on her.

What an amazing moment.

MUNDANE MYSTERIES: What happens to the turkeys after the President pardons them?

MUNDANE MYSTERIES: What happens to the turkeys after the President pardons them?

What started in 1989 with President Geroge H. W. Bush has now become an annual Thanksgiving tradition at the White House… the pardoning of the turkeys.

Last Friday President Biden pardoned two turkey’s, “Peanut Butter” and “Jelly”. Cute. But what happens to the turkey’s after their pardoned? Over the years there are a few different adventures these turkey’s have had.

In 2005 and 2009 they went to Disneyland and Walt Disney World to be the grand marshals in the Thanksgiving parades. In 2010 and 2013 they vacationed at Washington’s Mount Vernon Estate.

No word yet what Peanut Butter and Jelly will be doing this year. But at least they’ve been pardoned.

TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD: Family gets flat tire, rescued by celebrity musician!

TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD: Family gets flat tire, rescued by celebrity musician!

You just never know who’s going to help you on the side of the road. Like this family in Tennessee who had a flat tire was rescued by country star and American Idol judge.. Luke Bryan!

A woman named Courtney Potts and her two young kids were on their way home where they live in Columbia, Tennessee, last weekend when one of their tires blew out. She was able to drive the safely car to the side of the road. That’s when another car stopped to help. The driver of that other car… Luke Bryan himself. He was in a baseball hat and t-shirt on his way to go hunting with his sons.

Pretty safe to say that this family will be Luke Bryan fans for life now.

MUNDANE MYSTERIES: Are there any Thanksgiving songs?

MUNDANE MYSTERIES: Are there any Thanksgiving songs?

With Thanksgiving coming up next week I was making a playlist for our family dinner and realized there aren’t many, if any, Thanksgiving songs. Yes, I know… the Adam Sandler one. But that’s more of a comedy sketch than a song.

As I was researching this I discovered that Jingle Bells which we all know as a Christmas song, was originally written to be a Thanksgiving Song! Who knew?! My family is going to be very confused when this one comes on after turkey.
