Throughout this awful pandemic there has been some terrible stories and a few brighter feel good ones sprinkled in. Like this couple down in Georgia who met at the start of the pandemic back in 2020 both working as ER Nurses.
The two started dating, eventually fell in love, and just recently got engaged! How exciting is that?!
The proposal sounds like something out of The Resident, Grey’s Anatomy, or any of these hospital shows. He proposed to her on the helipad at the hospital where they work. She thought she was wheeling a stretcher out to get a patient who had been airlifted, only to see her now fiancé jump out of the helicopter. He dropped down on one knee, popped the question, and she said YES!
This will definitely be a story they will be telling their whole married lives.

I heard someone say this the other day and thought it would make a good Mundane Mystery for today.
The expression itself means trying or testing something out yourself is the only way to know if it’s good or not. The Oxford Dictionary says that the phrase was first used back in early 14th century where people would test actual pudding before royalty to find out if it was good enough for them to eat.

We could use more kids doing things like this.
A 10-year-old in Massachusetts boy named Michael Richardson has been making his neighbors smile every morning. Michael gets up early every day to stand outside his house and hold up inspirational signs for people as they drive by.
The signs say things like “Be Happy” and “Today Is a Great Day”. Sometimes that’s all it takes to help someone who might be having a bad day.
Great work Michael. More of this please!
