TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD: Tri-State Area helping with displaces animals from Hurricane Ida

So many people down south were affected when Hurricane Ida rolled through a few weeks ago. Including lots of pets and animals.

Now a lot of shelters here in the tri-state area are doing their part to help welcome in arrivals from down south. After Ida caused over $50 million in damage lots of animals need new homes. If you have been thinking of adopting now is a great time to do it and help out some of these rescues.

MUNDANE MYSTERIES: Is a pumpkin a fruit or vegetable?

MUNDANE MYSTERIES: Is a pumpkin a fruit or vegetable?

Tis the season for pumpkin everything. And also the burning question in everyone’s fall household… are they fruits or veggies?

Technically they are considered a FRUIT, which blew my mind. It’s apparently because they are the “edible reproductive body of a seed plant.”  Vegetables are the other parts of a plant that don’t have seeds, like leaves, stems, roots, and flowers.

So there you have it. When you’re pumpkin picking this year you can tell you’re kids they are a fruit.

The name Karen has gotten a bad rep.  Acting like a Karen isn’t cool, but that doesn’t mean that everyone named Karen acts that way!  Does it….?  (:30)

Are you up to date on all the news from last nights Emmy’s?  Anna and Raven will get you caught up on all the trending stories, including the reason everyone is talking about Seth Rogen’s brutal rant!  (3:47)

Relationships are tough, but if you do THIS less than two weeks after ending a long term relationship, that’s all I need to know about you!  (7:12)

The Gabby Petito story has been dominating headlines and now it appears to have come to a heartbreaking end.  (10:52)

What laws did Raven break this weekend?  Raven was concerned about some trees coming onto his property, so he decided to do something about it.  All it required was a little bit of trespassing…  (14:43)

TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD: One of America’s oldest veterans has some life advice for us

TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD: One of America’s oldest veterans has some life advice for us

Sometimes it takes a person who has lived the longest to give us the best life advice. They have the most life experience and perspective

People like America’s oldest living World War Two veteran who just celebrated his 112th birthday last weekend.  His name is Lawrence Brooks, and he lives in New Orleans.

Get this… he got married after the war ended and went on to have five kids.  Now he’s got 13 grandkids and 22 great-grandchildren! Crazy. His advice to everyone on life is to have faith, and be nice to people. You can’t ask for better advice than that.

Love it.
