We are entering fall wedding season which means you’ve probably seen and heard the term “tie the knot” more than a few times lately. But where does it come from and what does it even mean?
It started as a wedding tradition known as the handfasting ceremony. It was actually an ancient Celtic practice way back in medieval era. It is what it sounds like… literally binding the couples wrists together during the ceremony by tying knots of cloth or rope around their hands. This would be a physical display of the two people becoming one. Make sense!

I don’t know about you but I’ve noticed more cars on the road than ever. It feels like every weekend it’s more and more people out on the road. While sitting in traffic last weekend I wondered why are all the highway signs always green?
The green coloring is a way for the sign to simply inform the driver about something that’s coming up that they might need to know without completely distracting them on the road. The green helps it sort of blend in.
If you come across a sign that is bright orange, yellow or red those are usually meant to get attention and warn the driver about something. To stop, upcoming construction or anything like that.
