TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD: A breakfast food world record that sounds delicious

TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD: A breakfast food world record that sounds delicious

Of all the world records to break this one sounds the most delicious. A small town outside of Des Moines Iowa where only about 5,000 people live set the record for largest serving of pancakes. They got local businesses and volunteers to help cook and eat 14,280 pancakes!

Since it was a world record there were very specific rules, like each pancake had to be 0.4 inches thick and five inches in diameter. It took 2,400 pounds of batter to make all of them.

The previous record was 13,000 pancakes which was just set this past June. I feel like we could take on this record here in Connecticut if we really tried. Let’s make it happen! Who’s hungry?

MUNDANE MYSTERIES: What does the “QR” stand for in QR Code?

They’ve been around for years but have become more popular than every the last year or so because of Covid-19… QR Codes. We use them for menus, links, everything now. But what does the QR actually stand for?

It’s pretty simple actually… “Quick Response”. Whatever code you point your smartphone camera or reader at gives you the information quickly.

You’re definitely going to drop this knowledge on someone next time you’re out to eat and scanning for a menu.
