With Jeopardy in the news cycle a lot lately because if their host drama I’ve been watching it more than usual. I was thinking the other night, what exactly is behind those podiums the contestants stand at? We never see back there.
So they have the digital screen and stylus for Final Jeopardy, then the magic clicker they use throughout the rounds to chime in if they know the answer. But the most fascinating thing back there that blew my mind is that all the contestants stand on platforms that are adjusted to make sure they’re all the same height on the show. This is something that never even crossed my mind until I read this. But it makes sense! Can’t have some 7-footer having an intimidating height advantage over the other players.
Here is what it looks like if you’re curious.
