TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD: NBA Finals Ticket Mixup Turns Into Spontaneous Getaway For One Couple

The NBA Finals are happening right now between the Phoenix Suns and the Milwaukee Bucks. Last week a guy in Phoenix who’s a huge Suns fan tried to buy tickets and wasn’t able to get them. So then his wife tried to buy tickets so she could surprise him. Luckily she got them pretty easily, which seemed a little too easy. Turns out it was because the tickets she bought were for the NEXT game that was happening IN Milwaukee, not Phoenix.

Once the realized the mistake the couple decided to look for flights and go anyway. They ended up finding decent priced plane tickets and pulled off a spontaneous little Milwaukee getaway. The only downer was that the Suns lost that night. But still a fun trip!

MUNDANE MYSTERIES: Is it possible to “unshrink” clothes that shrink in the dryer?

We’ve all been there… that sweater or shirt you love comes out of the dryer looking like a toddler outfit. The worst! But is there a way to “unshrink” something? Luckily there it. Using a product you probably have in your house already.

This is going to sound wacky, but apparently all you have to do is soak the item in warm water with hair conditioner. Yes, the same stuff you use in the shower. Mix it in gently, then stretch the fabric back out. The conditioner actually helps loosen up the threads and expand it out to a normal size again.

TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD: Pizza Place Surprises Employees With Appreciation Day Payout

I love a good pizza story and this is a great one.

A lot of small businesses and restaurants have been through a rough few years with the pandemic and everything going on. One pizza place in Ohio called Heavenly Pizza (great name btw!) decided to have an Employee Appreciation Day last week. The way it worked was the owner agreed to have ALL the money they brought in that day go right to the staff. They managed to do $6,300 in sales, and got another $1,200 in tips. That meant it worked out to each worker making $78 an hour that day. Love that!

MUNDANE MYSTERIES: What makes men’s and women’s dress shirts different?

If you’re back in the office like a lot of people now and getting dressed in fancy clothes again you may have noticed that men’s and women’s dress shirts are different for one reason. Men’s have the buttons on the right, but women’s shirts have the buttons on the left. Why is that?

In the old days women would have servants who would dress them, so buttoning the shirt straight on is easier with them on the left. Men mostly always dressed themselves, hence having the buttons on the right was easier. It was also done with male soldiers in mind. It was easier to draw their sword or gun with the buttons on the right side.

You’re definitely going to think of this next time you’re buttoning that shirt.

Singing in public forces you to confront your specific fear, like others judging you, public humiliation, etc. Will Anna be able to find someone to sing to someone in the office to overcome social anxiety?
