There’s no worse feeling than losing something sentimental like a wedding ring. And there is no BETTER feeling then actually getting it back!
This happened recently to a police officer from Georgia. He was on vacation in Florida and lost his wedding ring while swimming in a state park. Assuming it was gone forever, they wrapped up their vacation and left. Then a few days later a 10-year-old girl was swimming in the area and found the ring! Her mom posted a photo of it on Facebook. That’s when another officer who works with the guy saw the post and realized it might be the one he lost. Turns out it was, and he got his ring back. The police department even gave the girl an award for being so honest.
What a great ending!

Today is apparently National French Fry Day? I know, I know… eye roll emoji. But it got me wondering how they got their name since they actually weren’t invented in France at all.
The French Fry was created back during World War I. American soldiers who were stationed in Belgium were being served these delicious potatoes known as “friets” at the time. Since the dominant language of southern Belgium is French the Americans just started calling them French Friets. Which then later got Americanized into “French Fries”
Now my mouth is watering. I may need to order some tonight.

There has been very little good news to come out of the tragedy that took place in Florida last month after the building collapse in Miami. But now we are learning about a little gimmer of good from one of the families in the building.
Rescuers came across a cat who belonged to a family on the ninth floor. The cat was in the apartment when it fell and was found alive two weeks later! Two of the animal’s owners also survived, but one family member is still missing. Our thoughts and prayers go out to them, but anyone who is a pet owner knows how it feels to be reunited with your furry loved one.
