MUNDANE MYSTERIES: Is is illegal to drive barefoot?

MUNDANE MYSTERIES: Is is illegal to drive barefoot?

Summer is here, we are in the middle of an early June heat wave and people want to air it all out and let their toes fly in the car. But is it illegal?

In most states in the country the answer is no. You will not be fined as a driver for letting your toes air out inside the car. But at the same time that doesn’t mean it is a good idea. A lot of law enforcement say they still encourage people not to do it. It’s always best to drive with footwear that has a good drip so your feet don’t slip off the pedals.

Here in Connecticut there are not currently any state laws that address the driving barefoot issue. Probably best to keep those toes away in the car until you get to the beach.

TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD: Waffle House Employees Rally Together To Help Coworker Graduate

TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD: Waffle House Employees Rally Together To Help Coworker Graduate

We are in the heart of graduation season 2021. Which means parties, tossing the cap and gown, and feel good stories like this one.

A high school senior in Alabama named Timothy was in a bind recently. He couldn’t get a ride to his high school graduation which was across the town. So on graduation day he showed up to work at the Waffle House he works at. His boss asked why he didn’t take off for gradation. He replied, “Well I didn’t want to miss work”.. That’s when the boss and the rest of the staff decided to team up and help out. They bought him some nice dress clothes. got the cap and gown, and made sure he had a ride over to the ceremony.

Not only did Timothy get his diploma on stage, a local community college in the area was so impressed by his work ethic and the story that they even offered him a full scholarship for next year!

Congrats Timothy. Big things ahead in your future.
