TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD: There’s Always Money and Good Vibes In The Lemonade Stand

TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD: There’s Always Money and Good Vibes In The Lemonade Stand

Let’s be honest it’s almost impossible to see a kid selling lemonade and not stop to buy some. Always great to support their first business venture.

It’s even better when they are selling it for a good cause too. This five-year-old girl in Kentucky started selling lemonade at her house so she could get enough money to buy her brother, who’s been in the hospital, a toy. Adorable.  Once word got out about her plan a bunch of cops and firefighters swung by to show support and help out. She ended up making over $1,300!!! She now has enough money to buy a lot more toys than she planned for her brother.

Such a nice story. Always support your local neighborhood lemonade stands.

MUNDANE MYSTERIES: Why do we shake hands?

MUNDANE MYSTERIES: Why do we shake hands?

Now that things are starting to slowly get back to normal people are starting to shake hands again. I shook someone’s hand at lunch today for the first time in months and it felt amazing.

But why do we even shake hands in the first place? Where did it start and why?

The concept of hand shaking as a greeting started back in ancient times when everyone would carry weapons like swords with them in case of battle. They way you would prove to someone that you could be trusted and are not carrying a weapon would be to reach out and shake their hand. Then we’ve just done it every since.
