TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD: LEGO is turning plastic bottles into new LEGO bricks

Talk about some clever innovation. LEGO who are a company based right here in Connecticut have come up with a new way of creating new LEGO bricks from recycled plastic bottles.

It was not an easy task to say the least. They’ve actually spent THREE years trying all different variations and combos of recycled material to get the mix exactly right for their standards. They now have a prototype that might be the one. They say it will still take another year or so before it hits stores where you can actually buy it, but what an awesome creation.

Frozen waffles are one of the better breakfast creations in recent history. The most popular brand being Eggo. But how did they come up with that wacky name?

When Eggos first launched in stores they weren’t even called Eggo. They had a totally different name that was actually kinda awesome. They were called “Froffles” which was a combination of the words “frozen” and “waffles”. Brilliant. But what ended up happening is they realized most people were just calling them “Eggos” for short because they had an eggy flavor to them. This made them switch the official name to Eggo.

I dunno… I’m way into that original “Froffle” name. They should bring that back, at least for some throwback promotion.

Last week was Shark Week, and it left Anna a little worried about potential shark attacks!  So worried that she looked up the top 5 things to do when you’re attacked by a shark!  (:30)

Have you ever accidentally hurt someone?  Anna was looking for some paper work under her bed, but when she emerged, a member of her family did something that almost knocked her unconscious!  (2:54)

Nobody ever wants to get into an argument with their spouse in public, or do they?  One thing’s for sure, if you’re the couple making everybody around you uncomfortable, that’s all I need to know about you!  (14:02)

TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD: Stranger Does The Right Thing, Gets Rewarded With Meat and Money

Doing the right thing is a great lesson not only for kids, but everyone. You always want to make sure you’re helping others whether you come across a wallet, cash, someone’s purse… always try and do what’s right.

This is what happened to a few owners of a butcher shop in Michigan recently. They were taking an envelope of cash to the bank last week when they dropped it on the ground outside the shop. Once they realized what had happened they went and looked at the security footage and saw someone pick it up and drive off. They assumed it had been stolen and called the police. But luckily, right after making the call the guy who found it showed up to the store with the envelope to give it back.

They ended up rewarding him with gift cards and some meat from the shop. Delicious.

Hand up, I love me some dark chocolate. Like a lot of people who like dark chocolate I feel like I tell everyone who will listen how “It’s healthy for you! Did you know that? It’s true” But why is that?

Dark chocolate is a great source of antioxidants and minerals. Which are both good for you and your body. In general it also contains way sugar than milk chocolate. There are a few studies that show how dark chocolate may help lower the risk of heart disease, reduce inflammation and even improve brain function.

Perfect! Bring me all the dark chocolate please.
