Join The Circle of Care for their 10th Annual CARE to Run 5K and Community Walk Event supporting children with cancer! May 5th at Merwin Meadows Park in Wilton.

The 5K Your Way is back this year! Register to run and test your time, walk at your own pace, or register virtually to complete your 5K however you want – treadmill, elliptical, rowing machine… the possibilities are endless. This is a timed race for runners and not timed for walkers. 

The annual 5K is one of our major yearly fundraisers, ensuring we can support the families in our Circle who have heard the words, “Your child has cancer.” Please consider fundraising as part of your participation—fundraising prizes are available

This year’s annual Walk For Wishes will take place in Trumbull on Saturday, May 11 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon at Make-A-Wish Connecticut’s Wishing Place, located at 56 Commerce Drive!,

The Walk for Wishes takes walkers on a 1.6-mile paved route through the Make-A-Wish campus, with lots of special surprises and giveaways along the way, including face painting and a balloon artist foam machine and games, prize drawings, food trucks, a live wish reveal and more!

The Childbirth Center at Griffin Hospital Annual Baby Fair is back after a three-year hiatus.

Expectant parents, new parents and their families are invited to learn about the Childbirth Center and area maternity and child care resources from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sat., May 4 at Griffin Hospital, 130 Division Street in Derby. This free event features many exhibitors, special offers and discounts, raffles, door prizes, tours of the Childbirth Center and information about the Center’s classes and support groups for before and after childbirth.

Join Kevin Begley and Star 99.9 from 10am till Noon.

Griffin Hospital offers family-centered maternity care in an environment designed to best meet individual and family needs. The Center features private, family-friendly rooms, expert staff for maternal and newborn care, and lactation consultants.

The Fair is sponsored by Safe Kids Greater Naugatuck Valley, a nonprofit organization working to reduce unintentional injuries to children ages 0-14 and build equitable and sustained systems that support injury prevention.

Walk a Mile in Her Shoes®

Get your friends and form a team for The Center for Family Justice 12th Annual Walk a Mile in Her Shoes® scheduled for Sat., April 27 at the downtown Fairfield train station.

Registration is at 8 a.m. The walk at 9 a.m.

Walk A Mile is organized by The Center for Family Justice’s White Ribbon Campaign Committee., a group made up of male community members who seek ways to engage men and boys in the fight against gender-based violence.

Funds raised from the walk will support Elizabeth M. Pfriem’s Camp HOPE America – Bridgeport, CFJ’s evidence-based summer camp and year-long engagement and mentoring program for young people ages 7-17 who have experienced trauma associated with domestic violence and/or sexual assault.
