Anna just read something terrifying.  An invasive species has been wrecking havoc on lakes and reservoirs across the country, and the culprit is something straight out of a horror movie!  (:30)

Have you ever seen something that was just too cheap to be safe?  Anna’s daughter wanted to do something over the weekend, but when Anna saw how little it cost, she was convinced that it had to be dangerous!  (4:19)

Anna is being haunted by an obscure celebrity.  Everywhere she goes, she sees references to him, and the worst part is that she doesn’t even know how to describe him!  (25:45)

What’s the strangest thing you’ve ever seen on a leash?  Anna had never seen this unusual animal on a leash before, but it turns out that it more common than she thought!  (29:27)

TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD: Finally, a little bit of good news from the building collapse in Florida

TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD: Finally, a little bit of good news from the building collapse in Florida

There has been very little good news to come out of the tragedy that took place in Florida last month after the building collapse in Miami. But now we are learning about a little gimmer of good from one of the families in the building.

Rescuers came across a cat who belonged to a family on the ninth floor. The cat was in the apartment when it fell and was found alive two weeks later! Two of the animal’s owners also survived, but one family member is still missing. Our thoughts and prayers go out to them, but anyone who is a pet owner knows how it feels to be reunited with your furry loved one.

MUNDANE MYSTERIES: Why do we eat popcorn at the movies?

MUNDANE MYSTERIES: Why do we eat popcorn at the movies?

Big weekend at movie theatres. The new Marvel movie Black Widow brought in $80 million at the box office which is the best opening for a movie since the pandemic began. Good to see people back in the theatres eating delicious tubs of popcorn. But why do we eat popcorn when we go to the movies anyway?

It all started when movies with sound first came out in mass release back in 1927. Move goers naturally wanted to bring snacks into to cinema while they watched. Local street vendors saw this opportunity and decided to  start selling their popcorn outside cinemas. That was the easiest snack to make and sell so that’s why people have been eating popcorn at the cinema ever since.

Extra butter please!

Do you have a crazy summer camp story?  Anna’s daughter went to D.A.R.E camp last week and she came home with the craziest story about what happened when the camp bathrooms got shut down!  (11:32)

Raven thinks that his neighbor stole something from him.  Anna thinks that he’s being ridiculous and unreasonable, so they decide to let the callers figure it out!  (29:13)

Henry and Joanna’s daughter was all set to go to summer camp at the end of the month with her best friend, only now the best friend can’t go!  Joanna thinks they should make her daughter go anyway, but Henry says she’ll be miserable so what’s the point?  Whose side are you on?  (36:38)
