TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD: Connecticut Family’s Creative Idea Catches The Attention of Actor Will Smith

A lot of families have been coming up with some creative ideas while being stuck at home for the past year.

This one Connecticut family in Southington, The Presser’s, decided to recreate famous movie scenes. Their videos have now gone viral and been shared around the world so they’ve been asking viewers to donate as they raise money for Feeding America.

Even some celebrities like Will Smith have reached out to them to help recrate some of his own movies with them. He also agreed to donate $15,000. The family says as of this month they have raised over $58,000 for the organization. Incredible.

MUNDANE MYSTERIES: Why do we change the clocks at 2am?

MUNDANE MYSTERIES: Why do we change the clocks at 2am?

This weekend we spring ahead for Daylight Saving. Finally! All the clocks turn ahead 1 hour Saturday into Sunday at 2am. But why is it always 2am?

It would make sense to do it at midnight since that’s when the say changes right? Well the reason it happens later in the night at 2am is because most people aren’t awake at that hour to notice it. By waiting until 2 a.m. the idea is that most people who work in the weekend with early shifts will still be in bed and most bars and restaurants will already be closed.

The good news is we get that extra hour of sunshine now! If you have kids… good luck with their sleep patterns. Maybe an extra nap this weekend.

Nobody likes being late and having to rush, but if you drive right through a crosswalk with kids around, and then do THIS to the person who calls you out, that’s all I need to know about you!  (2:24)

Every Friday, Raven’s wife Alicia calls in to the show and gives Raven a grade on how good a husband he was that week.  This week, Alicia turned 40!  Did Raven do a good job celebrating this important milestone, or did he epically fail?  Find out in the podcast!  (6:07)

Have you ever used the Next Door app?  It’s a great tool to find out what’s going on in your neighborhood, but the comment’s section can get a little ridiculous.  So naturally, Anna and Raven decided to act out some of their favorites! (22:21)

TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD: Guy In New Hampshire Uses Apple Watch To Save His Own Life

Make fun of Apple all you want but sometimes these devices are life savers.

This guy in New Hampshire was ice skating all alone last Sunday (probably not the smartest idea in the first place) when all of the sudden he fell through the ice. Luckily he was able to think fast and use his Apple Watch to call 911. Firefighters showed up five minutes later and were able to save his life.

Amazing.

MUNDANE MYSTERIES: Do bees ever sting other bees?

MUNDANE MYSTERIES: Do bees ever sting other bees?

Weird one, I know. But yes it’s true! Humans aren’t the only things bees go after.

When bees are protecting their hives from outsiders, some of the “guard bees” will stay by the entrance and be on the lookout for other bees that try to come in. If there’s a rogue bee from another hive trying to steal some nectar, the guard bee will bite and even sting the intruder. Seems like it would be more difficult to sting another bee than a human, but it does happen. Crazy!
