Tuesday, March 16th, 2021: Buried in the Yard; Bad Grades; Tupperware Protocol

Tuesday, March 16th, 2021: Buried in the Yard; Bad Grades; Tupperware Protocol

Congrats To Billie Eilish for winning the Grammy for Album of the Year!  But her acceptance speech?  It got a little awkward.  Anna and Raven explain why.

Fights with your kids are always tough, but nothing hurts more than hearing your child say “I Hate You”.  How do you deal with that?  Anna and Raven talk to Child Psychologist Joe Schippa about how to handle these types of comments.  (3:02)

It’s nice to be the “smart person” in the office, but if you say THIS to your co-workers when they don’t understand something, that’s all I need to know about you!  (6:42)

Have you ever found something buried in your yard?  Have YOU ever buried something in your yard?  Anna and Raven couldn’t believe that a successful award-winning actress was burying this in her backyard!  (10:06)

After a year of living with the virus, many people are still stocking up on certain supplies from the grocery store.  Raven was one of the first people in the office to start stocking up on supplies, and Anna made so much fun of him a year ago!  Now though?  Let’s just say things have changed…  (17:35)

What do you consider a bad grade?  Anna said online that anything over a 75 is a good grade in her house, and some people gave her a lot of grief over it!  But a few callers expectations might just be a little too much!  (21:00)

Are you a Tupperware thief?  Anna never returns Tupperware, if you gave it to her it belongs to her now!  Turns out there are specific rules to what you are and are not supposed to return, but Anna and Raven are going to let the callers decide!  (27:48)

Darryl and Erica are trying to save money because both their salaries have been cut back. She wants to cancel the house cleaning service since it’s an extra expense of $300 a month.  He thinks it’s the most important money they spend because of the time they save from not doing the cleaning themselves. He also thinks she’s a terrible cleaner and thinks it will hinder their marriage and quality time together. Whose side are you on?  (34:52)

Jessica has got a shot at $600!  Can she defeat Raven in pop culture trivia and win the jackpot?  (40:49)

TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD: Show Store Owner Retires, Donates Entire Inventory To Charity

With so many small businesses struggling lately it’s always great to see a nice story like this one.

The owner of a local shoe store in Vancouver who’s 91-years-old is retiring after running the place for over 70 years. Instead of trying to sell all the inventory of shoes he decided to donate all of it to the Salvation Army. What a wonderful thing to do!

MUNDANE MYSTERIES: Why do we say call being sick “Under The Weather”?

MUNDANE MYSTERIES: Why do we say call being sick “Under The Weather”?

No one likes feeling under the weather, but where did that term even come from?

It originates from the maritime world. Back in the old days when a sailor was sick while on a ship or boat they were sent below deck to help them recover. The reason being to send them under the deck “under” or away from the element of the weather outside. Originally it was a term they used for being seasick, but now is using for any type of cold like illness.

Raven’s Pet Pals – Meet DJ!

DJ is an 8lb super senior maltipoo
He was found by a Good Samaritan, on the street, in terrible condition – not only was he matted and unrecognizable he was hypothermic and in heart failure. Within 24 hours of medical care he started to turn the corner. He has made progress everyday on his medications as well as coming out of his shell. He was neutered and had a dental and he has come through with flu in colors! He should be reassessed in the next 4 weeks to determine if he still needs the cardiac meds. He is hard of hearing but this little guy is a gentle sweet and happy dog! You can learn more about DJ and see all of the other dogs up for adoption at Redleashrescue.com

Do men wear jewelry anymore?  Anna saw Harry Styles wearing jewelry at the Grammys last night, and she wondered why more men don’t.  Raven used to wear bracelets, and you won’t believe how many piercings he had!

Expressing your opinion on social media is just a part of life these days, but if you’re on twitter criticizing people on THIS, that’s all I need to know about you!  (3:32)

What did you differently with your 2nd child, that you would’ve never done with your first?  With her 1st daughter, Anna did everything “The right way”.  She played classical music, had no screens and avoided all non-organic foods.  With her second daughter, things are a little different.  You won’t believe the elaborate system of screens and toys Anna uses when they go out to dinner!  (6:51)

If you were going to disguise yourself, what would you do?  Jay Z and Beyonce tried to make an incognito appearance at the Grammy’s last night, but if you’re that famous, you need to put in a little more effort than this!  (13:27)

Did you do something nice over the weekend and not get any credit?  Anna and Raven will give you the credit due!  One caller was even giving away free pizza and got no credit!  Who does that?  (17:15)

What was your best job ever?  Anna met someone who works as a secret shopper over the weekend!  She had a million questions about how she could become one too but she felt too embarrassed to ask.  Luckily, someone called the show with information on how to become one!  (24:19)

Tom owned a leather jacket that he LOVED and wore it everywhere. Hannah hated how it looked because it was all tattered and made him look like a “biker dude”. Finally she had enough and she donated it without telling him and he’s furious. He wants her to go back to the place and get it back. She refuses and says she loves him; she cares to much about him to let him embarrass himself in that coat. Whose side are you on?  (34:50)

Raven is on a roll, and the Can’t Beat Raven jackpot is up to $500!  Does Bob have what it takes to beat him and win the prize?  (41:21)
