Tell Me Something Good: McDonald’s Drive-Thru Worker Gets Rewarded For Good Deed

Tell Me Something Good: McDonald’s Drive-Thru Worker Gets Rewarded For Good Deed

Paying it forward is always a good thing to do, but especially in the climate we are living in right now. We need all the positivity we can get. This story is just bursting with good vibes from all angles.

I think we’ve all been here before. A mom in Ohio named Brittany Reed ordered a bunch of food at McDonald’s, and then realized she forgot her purse at home. Always the worst feeling.  When she tried to cancel the order, the kid working the drive-thru pulled out HIS debit card and paid for the whole meal with his own money.  Brittany was so blown away by what happened that as a thank you she and her husband started a GoFundMe page to help buy him the car he’s been saving up for.  And guess what? It’s now raised over $25,000!

Here is video from a local reporter who talked to Brittany about the story. Also, the kid’s mom who as you can imagine is very proud of her son.

MUNDANE MYSTERY: How Does Skywriting Work?

MUNDANE MYSTERY: How Does Skywriting Work?

You’ve probably seen it many times in your life. You’re at the beach catching some rays on vacation when all the sudden you notice letters slowly being drawn in the sky behind a plane and say “Did I have one to many Pina Colada’s or is this really happening? How do they do that?!”

It’s called skywriting, or skytyping, and it’s a creative way to advertise or promote whatever it is you want people to pay attention to. But how does it actually work? I found out for you.

According to loc.gov…

Skywriting writes the letters in the sky by mixing something called paraffin oil into smoky plane exhaust. Skywriting is usually one plane writing up to six characters. Some skilled pilots can maneuver upside down if they need the smoke to make certain letters.

Skytyping on the other hand is a technique that uses smoke emitted in a series of bursts, like dots. They use a computer to map out the master plan and then electronic signals control the smoke output. The blurring of the smoke is what makes the desired end effect you see in the sky from your towel in the beach.

Pretty cool!

The Anna & Raven Show: Presidential Debate, Stranded And Translating

The Anna & Raven Show: Presidential Debate, Stranded And Translating

Wednesday September 30th, 2020

Last night was the Presidential debate between Donald Trump and Joe Biden and it’s probably the first debate people actually wanted to watch. How did Anna & Raven feel about the debate? (0:00)

Anna & Raven went head to head in their own debate, answering the questions that really matter. Who would you vote for? (2:53)

Sometimes the best part of a debate is hearing all the insults the candidates throw one another’s way. We take a look back at all of the best insults thrown around during Presidential Debates. (7:01)

If you used the Presidential Debate as an excuse to play a drinking game or don’t prepare yourself for bad weather arriving than that’s all I need to know about you. (10:58)

Anna may not be a debate moderator, but she knows what it’s like to prep for an important interview. Unfortunately for Chris Wallace, things didn’t seem to go as planned for him during last night’s Presidential Debate. Plus, we list the most stressful jobs to have and decide which you’d rather choose.  (14:05)

Raven’s car broke down the other day and was left stranded on the side of the highway. Anna was once stranded outside of a psychiatric hospital. So where have you gotten stranded before? (18:47)

Sometimes during the debate, the topics or answer might go right over your head, so Anna & Raven step in to translate the debate for you. (29:38)

Aaron and Lucy’s 12-year-old daughter posted a nasty video about a classmate on social media. Dad is furious and wants to take away all her electronics to teach her that bullying is never tolerated and reach out to the other parents to intervene; Mom says that’s going too far. They should just talk to her about why should would do this and use it as a teaching opportunity. After all, it’s a first offense. (33:43)

Coreen has a chance at $500 and all she has to do is beat Raven during Can’t Beat Raven. Can she pull it off or will we be adding another $100 to the jackpot? (41:03)

Tell Me Something Good: A Very Unique Underwater Proposal Here In Connecticut

Tell Me Something Good: A Very Unique Underwater Proposal Here In Connecticut

There are so many creative fun ways that couple’s get engaged. I proposed to my wife on top of Mt. Snow in Vermont right before we took a run down the mountain. It was exhilarating to say the least.

This Rhode Island couple had their big moment happen at Mystic Aquarium here in Connecticut. But not in the traditional way you might think.

Jake and Alyssa took what she thought was a normal trip the the aquarium, except little did she know Jake had arranged something special with the dive team in one of the tanks. As they were walking by one of the exhibits a diver swam up to the class holding a sign that read, “Jake has a question for you… “Will you marry me?”

As you can probably imagine Alyssa immediately burst into tears and said yes to Jake’s underwater proposal. Congrats you two!

Here is the video of the actual proposal inside the tank…
