Tell Me Something Good: One Of The Few Positive Impacts Of The Coronavirus Pandemic

Let’s be honest, there isn’t much “good” that has come out of the coronavirus pandemic so far. Except for this one stat I came across today that was kind of mind blowing.

Since the pandemic started apparently people have been quitting smoking in record numbers as a result. According to this study out of England, more people have quit smoking in the first six months of this year than any other time on record. 41% of those people say that it’s because of the pandemic.

I’ve never been a smoker, but this does make a lot of sense. Especially since COVID-19 affects the respiratory system so severely. That’s more than enough to scare people out of their habit.
