TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD: Bridgeport Veteran Helps Fellow Vets With Mental Health

It is Veteran’s Day so I wanted to highlight a good story that honors a veteran here in Connecticut. The one I found is about Corporal Alejandro Hernandez who was injured in a Humvee incident back in the early 2000s while serving in the marines. Sadly he was the only one who survived. His mental health started to decline. Until a wonderful organization in Bridgeport called Homes For The Brave helped him get back on track.

Not only did start to feel better, Alejandro is now an employee at Homes For The Brave helping other fellow veterans. Amazing!

Thank you to Alejandro and all the Veterans who have served our country.
