It’s almost been a full year of this awful pandemic. Crazy that it was1 year ago when this was all ramping up. Every day since it feels like the news has been worse and worse. Until now! Finally some good numbers and stats to report.
- 42 states saw their COVID-19 rates drop last week. The combination of vaccines and getting past the holidays has definitely helped this.
- The number of new U.S. cases was down 16% overall, and new hospitalizations dropped 26%.
- Locally here in Connecticut the positivity rate (as of 2/4/21) was 3.14%.Gov. Lamont said it was the lowest positivity rate the state has seen since Halloween.
- Hospitalizations also decreased by 37 on on Thursday 2/4/21
This is all good news, but be sure not to let your guard down. It’s still a dangerous pandemic, but it’s nice to get some good stats for a change!
