Every year the NFL has to make merchandise for both teams playing in the Super Bowl so the winning team can have their shirts and hats right away and all the product can be on sale for fans. I’ve always heard the rumor that the losing team’s product gets sent to people in need so it doesn’t go to waste. Turns out that is true!
There is a charitable organization based out of Virginia called Good360 who does all the distributing to those in need overseas. It’s usually shirts, hats and sweatshirts. Luckily the coronavirus pandemic won’t affect the process this year either. In fact, it might actually help even more than year’s past since there are branded face masks as part of the items donated.
Good to know there will be people getting helped, even if they think the Chiefs are the Super Bowl champs.
