MUNDANE MYSTERIES: Why is it called 7-UP?

I’ll be honest I haven’t had many 7-Up’s in my day, but whenever I have I always wondered what it stood for. I thought it had something to do with the original price, but that’s not it.

When the creator of 7-Up, Charles Leiper Grigg, came up with the soda back in 1929, he named it after the original bottle it came in which was 7-ounces. The “Up” comes from the direction that the bubbles go when you see them in the soda bottle. Pretty simple explanation. Now I’m thirsty.
