TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD: Stamford Golfer Competing In PGA Championship This Week

If you aren’t a golf super fan like I am and don’t normally watch golf on TV, this is the week you should! Because one of our very own Connecticut golf pro’s is competing in the PGA Championship down in South Caroline. How cool is that?!

His name is Pete Ballo. Pete’s a Stamford native who graduated from Trinity Catholic High School. He works as an assistant head pro at Silvermine Golf Club in Norwalk.

This will be his first ever PGA Tour event. What a great one to be in too. The PGA Championship is one of the PGA Tour’s 4 majors of the season. Pete competed in the PGA Professional Championship with other golf club pros last month and was on of the 20 who qualified to play this wee

If you want to cheer Pete on the tournament starts tomorrow (Thursday 5/20). Pete’s tee time is 2:31pm. You can watch on ESPN Thurs & Friday and on CBS this weekend.

Go Pete! Hit it hard.
