MUNDANE MYSTERIES: When are you supposed to take down your Christmas Tree?

It’s January 6th and I feel like a lot of people still have their Christmas trees up. Which seems crazy to me, but apparently today actually is “National Take Down Your Christmas Tree Day” so I guess today’s the day.

We took ours down the Sunday after New Years. Which seemed right. If you have real tree, those only last about four to five weeks at best.  So you really want to take it down before it becomes a fire hazard. The National Fire Protection Association even put out a statement telling people that now is the time to take them down.  They say almost a third of Christmas tree fires happen in January.

If you have a fake tree… go wild, leave it up till March!
