Anytime you can break a world record and help people at the same time it’s a win-win all around.
Last Saturday the Hartford Wolf Pack were playing the Hershey Bears at their arena in Central Pennsylvania. The idea was that once the Bears scored their first goal of the same fans would throw stuffed teddy bears or animals on the ice. As soon as it happened the bears started flying from the stands. A total of 52,341 stuffed animals were collected which broke the world record.
They will all be donated to the Boys & Girls Club and other charities for children who need comfort. Such a nice world record to break. Bravo!
The video is really fun to watch too…. the best part being the announcer’s call of “SWEET CUDDLY MAYHEM”!
